I find that when people say I can’t stop procrastination because I’ll never be a leader, what they mean is that they won’t ever have enough freedom to be productive. I’m sure that many of you have been where you said you were and found it very tough to do anything right away. The key to being productive and being a leader is to make it a priority to do the right things right away.
So what makes it right to do the right things right away? You know those little voice demons in your head that keep bugging you to do this and that and if you’re like me they keep popping up while you’re trying to get something done. You need to get them out of your head and stop procrastinating by taking advantage of all the distracting factors out there to help you be more productive. One of the best ways to stop procrastination habits is to start small. One of the biggest reasons why people procrastinate is they feel like they have too much to do. When you get started small, you will feel like you have more freedom and time to do more. This is because the first thing you always want to do is start small. Once you start small, you can then take bigger steps forward because you have less to deal with on a daily basis.
One way to stop procrastinating is to reward yourself for being productive. Many people believe that you should give yourself a reward each time you accomplish something. The problem with that is that you don’t want to give yourself a reward every single time you do something right. You want to find a happy medium where you’re giving yourself small rewards that fit in with your goal.
